Best Time to Go
Avoid visiting Daytana during major event periods, including Speed Week and the Daytona 500 NASCAR race (February), Bike Week (March), Pepsi 400 (July). The weather is ideal during the winter months, a popular time in Daytona Beach.

Transportation
Public transportation is available, but you’ll need a car. Votran, the public transit system, has instituted a free beach tram operating on a section of beach where vehicles are not permitted. Vehicles can drive on the beach at other marked locations during daylight hours.

In-Season Costs
February through August are the most expensive months in Daytona. Hotels range from $70 to $200 per night in most areas.
